Pambula Medical Centre (PMC) has been serving the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales since 1982. We are committed to providing high quality primary health care for the whole family. We have fully renovated and expanded our practice in 2012 providing a stylish and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Our general practitioners also work at Pambula District Hospital, so are skilled in emergency care. If appropriate our doctors can continue to care for you as an inpatient in Pambula Hospital. Two of the doctors have advanced obstetric training so can care for you throughout your pregnancy. Our nurses offer immunisation, wound care and health monitoring under direction from the doctors. This includes onsite pathology collection and INR monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, spirometry and ECG's.
Pambula Medical Centre also accommodates Visiting Medical Specialists in Cardiology, Paediatrics and Ophthalmology. Generalist Counsellors consult from our rooms after referral from one of our General Practitioners.
Pambula Medical Centre assists in training medical students from the Australian National University and other Australian Universities. We are also a training practice for qualified doctors studying to become fully accredited General Practioners (Registrars). Our Registrars are part of the Coast City Country consortium and undertake special training to learn the art and science of general practice. The practice is committed to professional development for all staff to ensure we remain up to date with medical and nursing advances.
We have succeeded in achieving full accreditation by AGPAL. Accreditation is defined as: 'A formal process to ensure delivery of safe, high quality health care, based on standards and processes devised and developed by health care professionals for health care services'.
Our commmunity, encompassing Pambula, Pambula Beach, Merimbula and Tura Beach, is a popular holiday and retirement destination, so our patients range from newborn to elderly. We visit local aged care facilities, and can attend patients on home visits if necessary - see our services page for more information.

Renovated in 2012 our practice is fully accessible with wheelchair ramp, accessible toilets, wide doors and corridors. Height adjustable examination couches are available.
Our doctors are registered with medicare. Please bring your current card to appointments.
